What to Prepare Before Calling a Homebuying Company
You do not need a polished sales presentation to ask about selling your house. A short, accurate summary helps the conversation move beyond broad promises and toward the information needed for your actual property.
Tell us about your house →The four facts that start the discussion
Begin with the address, occupancy, current condition, and preferred timing. Explain what prompted the conversation in whatever level of detail you are comfortable sharing. If you have a firm moving commitment, say so; if the date is flexible, do not invent urgency.
Questions and details to organize
- A list of known repairs and unfinished work.
- Recent improvements and available documentation.
- Who can authorize decisions and arrange access.
- Questions you want answered before considering a proposal.
Be specific about what you do not know
It is fine to say that you have not visited recently or do not know the age of a system. That is more helpful than guessing. Photos and a visit may clarify condition, but they do not replace specialist assessments where those are needed.
Leave with a clear next step
Ask who will follow up, what information is still missing, and whether a visit or written proposal comes next. Keep a record of the conversation and compare any later written agreement with what was discussed. Our form routes your inquiry to the existing team; it is the beginning of a discussion, not an obligation to accept an offer.
Let’s discuss your property
Share the address, condition, occupancy, and your preferred timing. Our team can discuss the available options and explain the next step.
